I think the fun of this comes from that it could kind of be believable, at a stretch. You know, Magalowski wearing a tshirt with photos of his rabbits, like when people were personalising their t-shirts and mugs with photos of their pets in 00s.
Working with a personalised item like an old football tee, work tee, convention tee or personalised gift (like with an animal photo) allows the memory of that to live forwards, giving it a second life, different from the original aim but holding the meaning and memories of it, you as the wearer become connected to the person you’ve never met, yet they become familiar.. The prints were made to last with fabric-specific paint, with a base coat and a top coat applied and heat fixed for longevity.
Care: Cold wash/30 degrees/handwash/delicate setting only. Wash inside out. Iron inside out (or with a protective fabric placed over the print). Do not bleach. If stained, use of stain removal gel over stains (except that on the print) is recommended. The prints were set and will last a long time, but small fading could occur over repeated washes.
